Nice central hotel for single woman in Rome?

Jump to last reply

I am thinking about making a stop during my traveling in Rome for a couple of nights. I am traveling by myself and would like to find a nice, affordable and safe hotel close to Spanish steps? I've been here once before and have seen most of the touristy things. Is there anything off the beaten path that I should see or do? I can't venture out too much or too far since I am only here for a couple of nights. Would have loved to visit Florence again or see a new place like Cinque Terre but I don't think these places are close enough for me to reach during this limited time? Although I will be happy to just be in Rome strolling around eating good food hoping it won't be too hard being there alone among all lovebirds hah:)
